Your tour of tastefulness during your unforgettable Sedona getaway would not be complete without a visit to our favorite Sonoran-style restaurant, the 89 Agave Cantina Sedona. Featuring a moderate price tag and open every day of the week from 11:00 AM until 8:00 PM, this special spot serves the foods we grew up with, and if you’re wondering what the difference between standard Mexican food and Sonoran style Mexican food, the answer is simply the use of flour and beef. Sonoran food uses more flour and beef than traditional foods, and it has become a taste that we have grown to love!
254 N State Route 89A in Sedona
Offering a stone and wood front painted the colors of the red rocks that surround this colorful place will leave you feeling warm and welcomed from your first steps inside, should you choose to eat inside! The patio that surrounds the restaurant offers breathtaking views, and the cooler temperatures that desert dwellers from Southern parts of the state crave make the colorful benches, chairs, and tables the most popular seats in the house, so to speak! Casually authentic and superbly designed, the 89 Agave Cantina should be moved to the top of your where to eat bucket list.
Viva la Menu
Featuring a separate bar menu that includes an impressive list of beers, wines, tequilas, and handmade cocktails, imbibing guests are sure to find the beverage that most enhances their meals, especially if tequila is the beverage they love the most! Choose a special margarita (the Funky Cacti made with tequila blanco, prickly pear, aloe liquor and lime is our favorite) a craft beer, or whatever drink you love and pair it with Original Mexican Tacos, Chili Marinated Shrimp Fajitas, or a plate of their Signature Enchiladas and feel all your troubles melt away. If not everyone in your traveling party is as adventurous as you can be, 89 Agave Sedona also offers a few American favorites, including the Burger 89 created with butcher cut brisket, pepper jack cheese, Applewood smoked bacon, chipotle aioli, romaine, onion, and a side of fries. If you still find yourself with a sweet tooth after devouring all these delicious goodies (don’t forget the endless chips and salsa!), the churros made in house will satisfy any cravings!
More Leftovers?
To be honest, those with smaller appetites may end up with more leftovers than they can handle, but there is something wonderful about enjoying tonight’s enchiladas in your Stay Porter home in the middle of night. Reserve yours today!
