What Can I Do Here?

If you decide to visit The Lowell Observatory, you won’t be disappointed. Kids will love attending and listening to the knowledgeable workers during the Science Talks and bring home some souvenirs and toys from the Starry Skies gift shop. Plus, adults and kids alike can enjoy viewing the stars through telescopes and looking at one of the many outdoor exhibits.

Plus, once you’re done spending time at the Observatory, you can then continue your education day and head to the Walnut Canyon National Monument. Make your day an informational one by visiting a historical monument and indoor museum all in one day!

When Can I Visit The Lowell Observatory?

Visitors can head to the Lowell Observatory Flagstaff any day between 10 am and 10 pm — we recommend visiting here at night so you can use the telescope to see the brightly-shining stars above your head! On a clear night, which is almost every night in Arizona, you can enjoy the bright stars, big dippers, and shooting comets. The only day you can’t stay late is Tuesday, so come earlier in the day!
