1st Floor: 
✔ The Pantry Room: Under the stairs is the first of five bedrooms. Once the home’s pantry, this cozy room has a pillow-top bed, two bedside lamps, and a private bathroom with a glass and onyx walk-in shower.

2nd Floor: 
✔ Star Gazer Room: Up the stairs to your right, a charming room featuring a late 1800s French earring bedframe with a Queen bed. A table and chairs by the window offer views of Mars Hill. The en-suite bathroom includes a jetted tub and a neo-glass onyx walk-in shower. The room also has a wall-mounted smart TV with cable for your entertainment.
✔ Song Catcher Room: Across the hallway, a beautifully furnished room with Louis XVI French antiques. A comfy chair with a footrest sits in the corner, while a table for two graces the bay window overlooking the front yard. The private bathroom includes a traditional clawfoot bathtub and shower. This room is equipped with a wall-mounted, flat-screen smart TV with cable. 
✔ Stone Cutter Room: The largest upstairs bedroom, includes its own private sitting room with a gas stove, love seat, chairs, and a twin trundle bed tucked behind red velvet drapes. The bedroom is furnished with luxurious Louis XV French antiques and a Queen bed. The en-suite bathroom features a spacious walk-in shower. 

Cellar: 
✔ Cellar Suite: This private bedroom, located in a renovated cellar, features charming woodwork, pressed tin ceilings, a fireplace, cozy chairs, and a table with barstools. The bathroom includes a clawfoot tub with a shower. A wall-mounted smart TV with cable, plus a DVD and Blu-Ray player, are provided for entertainment. Please note, the steep stairs to the suite may not be suitable for everyone.

★☆ A STORY OF THE HOME ☆★ 

The extraordinary England House, built in 1902 by the master stone cutter William England and Barbara Michelbach-England, has been carefully preserved for your family to enjoy. The stunning red-and-white stone, locally quarried and hand-cut, showcases the intricate craftsmanship of the time. The home’s unique design is a testament to the skill and vision of its creators. 

Barbara Michelbach-England, a nurse and a dedicated member of several societies, played a significant role in shaping the home’s history. She lived in the house for over 30 years, pouring her heart into making it a true family sanctuary. Following the tragic death of her husband from strychnine poisoning—which led to her being falsely accused of his murder—Barbara was acquitted after a mere 20 minutes of deliberation. Despite the hardships, Barbara’s resilience saw her cousin, Steve Eck, step in to complete the home with her. 

Steve Eck himself contributed greatly to the rich architectural heritage of the area. Among his notable works are the Church of the Nativity, one of Northern Arizona’s most famous landmarks, the Harold Colton house, the Museum of Northern Arizona, and numerous structures on the Northern Arizona University campus. This remarkable lineage and the home’s fascinating history make England House a truly special place for creating new memories.

There is a Cottage on the property. It is located behind the England House. There may be Guests staying at the Cottage during your stay. Please reach out if you are interested in renting the England House and the Cottage.

SUPPLIES PROVIDED 
Freshly cleaned linens, bedding, and towels for all guests. 
Essentials included: paper towels, toilet paper, laundry detergent, dish soap, dishwasher soap, and hand soap. 
Shampoo, conditioner, and body wash are provided. 
While there may be condiments or coffee available, we cannot guarantee specific items. 

ADDITIONAL AMENITIES 
Pack ‘n Plays, high chairs, and air mattresses are available to rent for $40 per amenity. 

HOUSE RULES 
No pets and no smoking allowed on the property to preserve its charm. 
No parties or events permitted. 
Quiet hours are enforced from 9 PM to 9 AM to ensure a peaceful environment for all guests and neighbors. 
Noise Levels: Please keep noise levels low, especially in the evenings. Be considerate of the neighbors to maintain a serene atmosphere for everyone. 
Primary renters must be 30 years or older. 
A signed rental contract is required after reservation confirmation. 

SECURITY 
Outdoor security cameras are installed, facing the front and back entrances for guest safety. 

CARETAKER VISITS 
Exterior landscaping may be maintained during your stay.
